Under the direction of the Program Director or Executive in charge, the School Age Childcare Administrator, in harmony with the Christian nature and Mission of the YMCA, shall be responsible for the development, organization, and implementation of high-quality programs and events in areas of the Summer Camp, Family, and other childcare-related departments as directed. Additionally, provides leadership to ensure that all services offered through the Y meet the strategic goals the YMCA has set forth to build relationships with and between; staff, members, volunteers, program participants, and the communities the YMCA serves.

The ForeverWell Coordinator is a mission-driven, part-time leader responsible for designing, coordinating, and expanding high-quality wellness programs that promote physical, social, and emotional well-being for adults and older adults. This role focuses on holistic wellness initiatives, including fitness, education, social connection, and lifestyle enrichment. Location: Youth Development Center-Rhinelander
Hours: 6:30 am to 5:30 pm – Full or Part-time
Rate: $14.00 – $16.00 based on qualifications
Instruct children and infants through preschool in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Completed, enrolled in, or willing to enroll in childcare courses to meet the State of Wisconsin Daycare Licensing Regulations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50#, sit on the floor without support for up to an hour, walk 2-3 miles per day, reach, bend, crawl, twist, and balance while providing custodial care of young children. Must model the YMCA core values. Includes a 50% Scholarship toward daycare and a 100% scholarship toward school-age care.

Hours: 1-8 hours per week-flexible schedule
Rate: Hourly $11.00 -$12.00 or based on qualification
Seeking gymnastics coaches for all levels. Work 1-8 hours a week (as many as you would like) instructing your own class or being a helper and assisting other instructors. Instructors will be tasked to keep track of the progress of their students, follow the class curriculum, and able to lead a class of 8-10 students. Assistant’s tasks will include helping spot students and assisting the instructor with needs throughout the class. Must be 15 to apply.

Rate: $12.00 – $14.00 hourly (depending on qualifications)
Requirements: Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification – we will certify.
Lifeguards must monitor swimmers both on the deck and in the water and provide assistance and protection when necessary. Candidates must be 15 years of age, able to demonstrate 300 yards continuous swim using front crawl and breaststroke, tread water for 2 minutes without using arms, and be able to retrieve a 10lb weight from 7 feet of water. Must model the YMCA core values. If 18 years of age will qualify for training to lifeguard at the beachfront.

Under the direction of the Healthy Living Coordinator, the Personal Trainer will function as part of the Healthy Living Department and adhere to all rules and codes of conduct set forth by the YMCA of the Northwoods. YMCA Personal Trainers will lead training sessions for clients teaching proper exercise techniques, principles, and procedures.

Friday nights at the Y provide middle schoolers a safe, fun, and supportive environment by supervising and participating with their peers in a variety of fun and engaging activities. Be a positive role model for middle school youths in grades 6th – 8th while listening to music, playing board games, or playing dodgeball. Must model the YMCA core values. Under the direction of the Early Learning Center Coordinator, the Assistant Teacher, in harmony with the Christian nature and Mission of the YMCA, as well as the established goals and objectives of the YMCA, shall be responsible for the safety and well-being of children in their specific care relating to the Association. In general, the role of the Assistant Teacher is to build relationships with and between staff members, volunteers, members, program participants, and the communities the YMCA serves.
Specifically, the role of the Assistant Teacher is to assist the Lead Teacher in providing daily activities and daily care for a designated group of children. This includes assisting with planning and implementing curriculum and daily program, assisting with and ensuring a safe, attractive learning environment for children in the program.
