Frequently Asked Questions About the Lakeland YMCA

The Lakeland YMCA project is currently in the feasibility study phase, where community interest, facility needs, and fundraising potential are being carefully evaluated. A dedicated Steering Committee is exploring the opportunity to establish a new YMCA in partnership with the YMCA of the Northwoods, which operates branches in Rhinelander and Park Falls. While this process will help shape the vision, scope, and financial plan, it remains exploratory at this time, and there are no guarantees the project will move forward, as the next steps depend on the study results and overall community support.
